  • Donna Family Searching for Loved One

DONNA - A Donna family is still looking for their loved one.  They say he's been missing for nearly two weeks.  They're hoping someone out there may know where he is and what may have happened.

The family says 25-year-old Marco Ramirez does not have a history of taking off or not letting his family know where he's at.  The family has filed a missing person report with Donna P.D.

On February 27 at 7 p.m., Ramirez's mom dropped him off at the Corner Store at Salinas and South Avenue.  That's the last time he's ever been seen.

The family has made flyers and is posting them around the city of Donna hoping someone will call with a lead to his disappearance.  If you have any information about the whereabouts of Marco Ramirez, you're asked to call the Dona Police Department.

  • San Benito City Commission Will Let Voters Decide on City Charter

SAN BENITO - San Benito City Commissioners have decided the voters will have to decide if they will enforce two sections of the city charter.

One of those sections is about the eligibility requirements for commission members, another says members must forfeit office if they lack those requirements.

Former Mayor Joe Hernandez was forced to forfeit his office back in January because he owed city taxes. According to the current charter that was a direct violation of requirements to hold office.

The mayor sued the city to get his job back. The commissioners decided instead of taking the issue through court, they will let voters decide.

No word on if that will mean the mayor will get his office back.
